Welcome to DeenFinder. By using our website and services you agree to these terms. We have written them plainly so they are easy to understand.
A free service for the community
DeenFinder is a free masjid finder built for the Muslim community. It is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. We offer it in good faith to help people find masjids and prayer times, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be accurate, complete or uninterrupted.
Prayer times are estimates
Unless a masjid has confirmed its own jamaat times, the prayer times shown on DeenFinder are calculated estimates and are marked "approx". Calculated times can differ from the actual jamaat time at your local masjid. Please always verify prayer and jamaat times locally. We are not liable for any reliance placed on the times shown.
Masjid and map data
Masjid information on DeenFinder is drawn from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, made available under the Open Database License, ODbL), from Ola Maps, and from contributions by users. This data may be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate. Treat it as a helpful starting point rather than an authoritative record.
Attribution
Masjid and map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the ODbL. Location search is provided via Ola Maps, whose underlying data is based on OpenStreetMap.
User contributions
DeenFinder lets you help improve the map — you may add or suggest masjids and check in to prayers. When you contribute:
- You grant DeenFinder a licence to display, store and share that information as part of the service.
- You confirm the information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You agree not to submit false, misleading, abusive, offensive or unlawful content.
We may review, edit or remove contributions to keep the service accurate and respectful.
Acceptable use
You agree to use DeenFinder fairly and lawfully. In particular, you must not:
- Scrape, harvest or bulk-download data from the service.
- Abuse the check-in feature or attempt to bypass rate limits.
- Submit spam or attempt to manipulate the live crowd counter.
- Interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DeenFinder and its operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service — including inaccurate masjid data, estimated prayer times, or service interruptions. The service is provided free of charge and without warranty.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time as DeenFinder evolves. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
